We’d been in touch with Envirosystems CEO Mike Ryan a few years before the company sought a private equity partner. It was the kind of business we like—an industry leader in North America with a strong management team, value proposition and growth trajectory. When the family that owned the majority of this provider of industrial and environmental services decided to seek a private equity investor, we were very interested.
The family asked company executives to choose the private equity group they preferred. They selected TorQuest after a thorough vetting process because of our strong alignment with them on ethics, culture and the strategy for the business. Our skills, network of relationships and approach were a great fit with what the management team and family were looking for in a partner.
That was in 2015. We are now working closely with Envirosystems management to lay the right foundation for a more aggressive but disciplined plan to grow the company and expand into new markets. One area of particular value and support we're providing is corporate development, identifying a range of potential acquisition targets for management consideration.
