Paul Corriveau joined TorQuest in 2020 after having had a close working relationship with the firm over the past three years in the Quebec market. He is based in Montreal and his primary responsibility remains the pursuit of investment opportunities in the Quebec market as the firm continues to broaden and deepen its relationships there. Prior to TorQuest, Paul was an active investor in the Montreal market as an independent sponsor and before that held strategy and M&A positions in large corporations such as Bombardier and RTL Group. He has on two occasions served in the Office of the Prime Minister of Canada first as a Special Assistant - Policy and later as Deputy Chief of Staff (Policy).
Paul holds a BCL and LLB from McGill University’s Faculty of Law and is a graduate of France’s École Nationale d’Administration (ENA). Paul is the prior Treasurer and current Chair of the The Gordon Foundation as well as Treasurer of Canada 2020, a public policy think tank.
Paul Yancich joined TorQuest in 2020. Previously, he worked at Constellation Software (“CSI”), a publicly traded investment & operating company based in Toronto. At CSI, Paul worked for the Founder/CEO, oversaw capital deployment globally for one of CSI’s six operating groups, and led a 250-person operating division. Previously, Paul worked for Arsenal Growth and began his career with Citigroup. Paul graduated with a BA from Princeton University.
Thomas Yang joined TorQuest in 2020. Prior to joining TorQuest he worked in the investment banking division of Barclays in Toronto. At Barclays, he was involved in M&A transactions across a broad set of industries within the Diversified Industries Group. Thomas holds an Honors Business Administration from the Ivey School of Business and a BESc in Chemical Engineering from the University of Western Ontario.
Emilie Heron joined TorQuest in 2019. Prior to joining TorQuest, she worked in Equity Sales and Trading at RBC Capital Markets and for the University of Toronto’s Economics Department.
Emilie holds a Finance and Economics B.Com degree (with high distinction) from Rotman Commerce, University of Toronto.
Matthew Harrington joined TorQuest in 2019. Prior to joining TorQuest he completed internships at OMERS Private Equity and Burgundy Asset Management. At OMERS, Matt worked within the Software and Healthcare Verticals within the Toronto Office.
Matthew holds an Honours Business Administration degree (with high distinction) from Wilfrid Laurier University.
Gregory Wainberg joined TorQuest in 2019. Previously, Gregory worked in investment banking at BMO Capital Markets where he was involved in a number of M&A and financing transactions primarily in the industrial, consumer, and forest products sectors.
Gregory holds a B.Comm degree from McGill University.
Andrew Krane joined TorQuest in 2019. Previously, he worked in the private equity group at OTPP, investing primarily in North American healthcare and consumer businesses. Earlier in his career, Andrew worked in investment banking at BMO Capital Markets in Toronto.

Celina Campus joined TorQuest in 2019. Previously, she worked at Brookfield Asset Management in the private equity group in Rio de Janeiro and Toronto.
Celina is a CFA Charterholder and graduated with a B.A. in Economics (Magna Cum Laude) from George Washington University.
Karl Iyari joined TorQuest in 2019. He came to TorQuest from Bain & Company where, as a leader in their chemicals and oil and gas practices, he advised private equity and corporate clients on growth strategy, mergers and acquisitions, restructuring and operational improvements. Earlier in his career, he worked for Royal Dutch Shell providing project development, technology, investment and engineering support for downstream assets and for Halliburton / KBR.
Karl holds an M.B.A (with Distinction) from INSEAD (with an exchange at Wharton) and PhD and BEng (First Class) degrees in chemical engineering from the University of Nottingham, UK. He is a Chartered Engineer (CEng) and has been a Member of the Institution of Chemical Engineers (MIChemE) since 2010. Karl is an accomplished scientific author with over 200 citations.
Frank joined TorQuest in 2019. Prior to joining TorQuest, Frank worked as an Accountant for Initial Properties Corporation. Previously, he worked as a Staff Accountant for firms in Toronto and North York.
Frank is in the process of completing his CPA designation. He holds a Bachelor Degree in Commerce (Finance and Economics) and graduated from Ryerson University in the Dean’s List of Economics (4th Year).
Brent Belzberg is the founder and Senior Managing Partner of TorQuest. He formed TorQuest in 2002 following the 2001 sale of Harrowston, Inc., a publicly traded investment fund he founded to invest in and build businesses in 1992. Outside TorQuest, Brent serves as a Director of CIBC and Mount Sinai Hospital. He is the Chair of Sinai Health Systems and is a member of the Investment Advisory Committee of the University of Toronto. Brent’s previous outside directorships include O&Y REIT and Four Seasons Hotels. Brent was President of First City Financial Corporation from 1991-1993. In 2018, Brent was appointed as a Member of the Order of Canada for his work as a business leader and philanthropist.
Brent received a B.Comm. (Honours) from Queen’s University in 1972 and a J.D. from the University of Toronto in 1975.
Eric Berke is the co-founder and Managing Partner of TorQuest, which was formed in 2002. Prior to TorQuest, Eric led the turnaround and sale of Gustin Kramer, a manufacturer of paper and non-woven consumer products, where he served as the company’s President and CEO and controlling shareholder from 1994 to 2002. Eric serves as a director on each of the TorQuest portfolio companies and previously served on the boards of all of TorQuest’s realized investments. Outside of TorQuest, Eric serves as a director on the Tandem Expansion board and has formerly served as a director of the Toronto Board of Trade, the Canadian Venture Capital Association and Crescent School. Eric has been a member of the World Presidents’ Organization/Young Presidents’ Organization since 1994.
Eric holds an MBA from Boston University and a B.A. from the University of Vermont.
Daniel Sonshine joined TorQuest in 2004. From 2001 to 2004, Daniel worked at CIBC Capital Partners, where he was involved in various private equity and subordinated debt transactions, including investments in GCAN Insurance Company, Accor Casinos and Bell ActiMedia (Yellow Pages). Prior to joining CIBCCP, he worked at CIBC World Markets in both the Mergers and Acquisitions and Real Estate Investment Banking groups. Daniel currently serves on the Board of Trustees of Bishop Strachan School and coaches a competitive kids baseball team.
Daniel graduated as the Gold Medalist from the combined J.D./M.B.A. program at the University of Toronto and received an A.B. (cum laude) in Economics from Harvard University.
Matthew Chapman joined TorQuest in 2007. He came to TorQuest from Workbrain, Inc., an enterprise software company that was acquired by Infor Global Solutions in June 2007. Matt joined Workbrain in 2000 as Director of Finance, and served as Vice President, Finance (2002), Chief Financial Officer (2003-2006) and Senior Vice President of Operations (2006-2007), helping to drive the rapid growth of the company. Earlier in his career, Matt worked at RBC Capital Markets in the Investment Banking Group.
Matt holds an M.B.A. from the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto, and a B.Sc. and M.Sc. from McGill University.
Michael Hollend joined TorQuest in 2009. Prior to joining TorQuest, Michael was a Partner in the Venture Capital Funds of EdgeStone Capital Partners, where he invested in and worked closely with a number of successful technology companies. Earlier in his career, Michael was with Goodmans LLP, where he established the Venture Group. Outside TorQuest, Michael is a member of the Business Development Sub-Committee of Mount Sinai Hospital, is Director of Circle of Care and previously served as a Director of the Canadian Venture Capital & Private Equity Association.
Michael holds both LL.B. and M.B.A. degrees from the University of Toronto and a B.A. (Economics) from the University of Western Ontario.
Craig Rankine joined TorQuest in 2006. Mr. Rankine is responsible for financial reporting, governance and compliance, and LP relations. He also manages the tax and legal structures of the Funds as general partner, and has been involved in each of the firms portfolio company investments. Mr. Rankine works with the investment teams and liaises with corporate counsel and tax advisors on legal and tax matters related to portfolio companies. Prior to joining TorQuest, Mr. Rankine spent over five years in public practice with Deloitte & Touche LLP, where he advised private equity funds on fund structuring and M&A tax matters.
Craig Rankine is a Chartered Accountant and holds a B.Comm. (with distinction) from the University of Toronto.
Jonathan Fraser joined TorQuest in 2009. Since then, he has worked on the acquisition of five platform investments. Prior to TorQuest, Jonathan worked at National Bank Financial in the investment banking group. Outside of TorQuest, Jonathan sits on the Ontario Board of the Canadian Cancer Society.
Jonathan holds a BBA degree from Bishop’s University and an MBA from the University of Cambridge.
Darin Brock joined TorQuest in 2006 and currently oversees the firm’s external relationships, managing business development and investment sourcing activities, including outreach to investment banks, M&A advisors, business brokers, attorneys, accountants and consultants. Prior to joining TorQuest, Darin led the Business Development group at Platinum Equity, a Los Angeles-based global private equity firm. He is a Director for the Association for Corporate Growth (Toronto Chapter) and served as past Chairman of the Board. He is also on the Corporate Advisory Board for Immunodeficiency Canada.

Rachel Skelton joined TorQuest in 2013. Previously, she worked at McKinsey & Company advising clients on growth and turnaround strategies as well as operational improvements. Earlier in her career, Rachel worked at Teachers’ Private Capital both in investing and portfolio management roles as well the Mergers & Acquisitions group at RBC Capital Markets.

Jonathan Tarshis Neil re-joined TorQuest in 2014, having previously worked at the firm from 2009 to 2011. Prior to re-joining TorQuest, Jonathan held operations and finance roles at Tough Mudder, a leading global endurance event company. Earlier in his career, Jonathan worked at National Bank Financial in the investment banking group.
Jonathan holds an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School and a B.Comm. from Queen’s University.
Andrew Kolupanowicz joined TorQuest in 2011. Before joining TorQuest, he worked in the investment banking groups of Cormark Securities and Citi, focused primarily on the renewable energy industry.
Andrew is a CFA Charterholder and graduated with highest distinction from the B.Comm. program at McGill University, where he majored in Finance and minored in Biology.
Michael Salisbury joined TorQuest in 2015. Prior to joining TorQuest, he worked in the Corporate Strategy and M&A department of BCE Inc. Earlier in his career, Michael worked in the investment banking division of TD Securities and the transfer pricing division of Deloitte.

Nathan Jenkins joined TorQuest in 2017. Previously, he worked in the private equity group at CPPIB in London, UK and at ONCAP Management Partners in Toronto. Earlier in his career, Nathan was at Teachers’ Private Capital and in the investment banking group at TD Securities.

Jack Menkes joined TorQuest in 2017. Previously, Jack worked in investment banking at Rothschild in New York. At Rothschild, he was involved in a number of M&A transactions in the consumer sector, including the sale of Hostess Brands and the strategic alternatives review of SunOpta.
Jack holds a dual-degree from the University of Pennsylvania (Magna Cum Laude) in Finance from the Wharton School and in Economics from the School of Arts and Sciences.
Matthew Ananthan joined TorQuest in 2018. Previously he worked in the private equity group at CPPIB in Toronto and London, UK. At CPPIB, he was involved in a number of transactions in the consumer retail and TMT space including Petco Animal Supplies and Sportradar AG as well as portfolio management for Neiman Marcus Group.

Jeremy Duncan joined TorQuest in 2019. Prior to joining TorQuest, he worked in the investment banking division of BMO Capital Markets. At BMO, he was involved in a number of M&A and financing transactions within the Diversified Industries group.

Jordan Tannenbaum joined TorQuest in 2019. Prior to joining TorQuest, Jordan worked in investment banking at CIBC Capital Markets and BMO Capital Markets. Jordan was involved in a number of M&A and financing transactions, primarily in the consumer and industrials sectors. Earlier in his career, Jordan worked at Deloitte in the Assurance and Advisory practice.

Evan Sequeira, joined TorQuest in 2019. Prior to joining Torquest, Evan led the development and fundraising efforts at Capitalize for Kids, children’s mental health non-profit, and previously worked at BMO Capital Markets where he was an analyst on the Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities team. Evan serves on the Leadership Council at Capitalize for Kids.
Evan holds a BComm. from Queen’s University and is a CFA Charterholder.
Jay Galbraith joined TorQuest in 2018. Mr. Galbraith is responsible for overseeing all TorQuest legal affairs, including in connection with investment transactions and portfolio company holdings, fund formation, firm governance and regulatory matters, as well as managing relationships with external counsel. Prior to joining TorQuest, Mr. Galbraith was a director and lawyer at the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan, where he worked principally with the fund’s private equity arm; a partner at Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg in Toronto, in the M&A practice group; and a corporate attorney at Latham & Watkins in New York.
Mr. Galbraith holds an M.B.A. from the Rotman School of Management, a J.D. from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law and a B.A. (summa cum laude) from York University. He is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the Ontario Bar Association.
Edward Chau joined TorQuest in January 2013 and has more than ten years of experience in financial and tax reporting for private equity funds. Prior to joining TorQuest, Edward was the Controller at EdgeStone Capital Partners.
Edward is a Certified General Accountant and a member of the institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
Jasmine joined TorQuest in September 2013. Prior to joining TorQuest, Jasmine was a Fund Accountant with RBC Investor Services. Previously, she was worked as a Staff Accountant for firms in Toronto and Ottawa.

Charlene joined TorQuest in 2016. Previously, she was in the Infrastructure Private Funds team at Brookfield Asset Management.
