Founded in 1992 by TorQuest Senior Managing Partner Brent Belzberg, Harrowston was a publicly traded investment vehicle that completed 13 portfolio company investments. Harrowston delivered a compound IRR of 48% on realized investments from the time of its inception to its acquisition by the Toronto-Dominion Bank’s private equity group in 2001. Harrowston investments included companies such as Marsulex, SPI Polyols, Key Media and Fabrene.
