The TorQuest Scholars Program is a mentorship program aimed at providing BIPOC-identifying students in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) with a transformational career experience that exposes them to various career paths in finance and the broader business sector. Beginning with a four-month in-person internship or co-op, TorQuest Scholars are provided with on-the-job mentorship and a unique career experience to work alongside and shadow our firm’s various business units including our investments team, business development team, and value creation team.
The program is designed to attract students that will benefit most from exposure to our business and external network, including but not limited to students who may not have previously considered a career in finance or business within an academic setting. Candidates of the TorQuest Scholars Program are not expected to have prior experience in finance or private equity; coaching and mentorship is provided throughout the program.
Key attributes of TorQuest Scholars include individuals who are intellectually curious, have a strong desire and aptitude to learn, possess great written and oral communication skills, are leaders in their community, and shares our values of integrity, humility, and honestly.
Following completion of their internship or co-op, TorQuest Scholars are provided with continuous support and guidance from our firm and our people through regularly scheduled touch base meetings. Our goal is to establish a long-term relationship with our TorQuest Scholars and support them in achievement of their career aspirations.
