The Board of Directors of Mount Sinai Hospital Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of Brent S. Belzberg as Chair of the Board.
Mr. Belzberg brings his long-standing business and philanthropic experience to the role, having served on Mount Sinai Hospital’s Board of Directors since 2001 and co-chaired the Foundation’s Board since 2010.
He is the founder and Senior Managing Partner of TorQuest Partners, one of Canada’s leading mid-market private equity firms. He currently serves as a Director of CIBC and Tandem Expansion Fund. Mr. Belzberg’s extensive community and philanthropic engagement includes prior roles with the Toronto Community Foundation, The Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs and United Jewish Appeal Federation. He is a member of the executive Committee for the Governing Council of the University of Toronto.
Mr. Belzberg graduated from Queen’s University with a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) and from the University of Toronto’s Juris Doctor program.
The Mount Sinai Hospital Foundation raises and stewards funds to support excellence in patient and family-centred care, leading-edge research and innovative education at the Hospital.
