Toronto, Ontario – FirstOnSite Restoration L.P. announced today that it has acquired Ezi-Way Cleaning Services Ltd. of Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island and Ezi-Way Disaster Kleenup (Moncton) Ltd. of Moncton, New Brunswick.
The acquisitions are part of FirstOnSite’s strategy of building Canada’s leading national provider of disaster restoration services. Terms of the transactions were not disclosed.
Since early 2007 FirstOnSite has also acquired operations in Ontario, Quebec, British Columbia, Manitoba and Nova Scotia. Including the newly acquired operations, FirstOnSite now has more than $160 million in annual revenue and more than 875 direct employees in 28 cities and towns across Canada. FirstOnSite anticipates additional acquisitions as it continues to grow nationwide.
“With this acquisition we have considerably strengthened our position in the Maritimes,” said Ian Milne, FirstOnSite’s Chief Executive Officer. “Ezi-Way Cleaning Services, which operates mainly in Charlottetown and Summerside, and Ezi-Way Disaster Kleenup, which operates in the Moncton area, will become part of our Atlantic Canada division based in Halifax.”

In their respective geographic areas, the current Ezi-Way management teams will continue to manage the day-to-day disaster restoration businesses and will form an integral part of the FirstOnSite Atlantic Regional management team headed by Kevin Clarke. They will be responsible for organic growth in PEI and New Brunswick and will have an active participation in further acquisitions in these provinces.
FirstOnSite is a full service restoration provider with expertise in water losses, document restoration, wind damage, fire and smoke damage, sewer backup, hurricane and tornado restorations, odour control, contents handling, drying, electronic repairs, mould remediation, asbestos remediation, petroleum spills, infection control and general contracting.
